There is nothing I like more than going op shopping. (For any American readers out there, an Op Shop, or Opportunity Shop, is a charity or thrift store, in case you were wondering!)
I love hunting bargains, I love sifting through the shelves of junk for the treasures I know are hidden there, I love selecting items that I know can be upcycled to transform them from rubbish to beautiful and useful!
Today I went to the local Savers shop, one of my favourite op shops. It is huge and constantly has new stock coming in, and I can always find something worth having.
This little trio of vases were perfect to add to my collection of coloured glass.
Once I had brought them home, of course I wanted to display them somewhere. I had been thinking of moving my tinware collection from the top of the china cabinet in the dining room, and most of the rest of my vases were hidden away in cupboards. Time for a change, and some fun styling!
I am happier with the results of my rainbow than I thought I would be! So happy and cheerful, and still room to collect more!
love your rainbow! i am just getting started on my coloured glass collection 🙂
Thank you! It is such fun to collect! I love coming across a new piece in a market or an op shop or garage sale. The thrill of the chase!!
