I spent most of my weekend playing in the studio.
Every few months my my studio gets so messy and disorganised that I can’t even get in there with a vacuum cleaner, and I have to spend a day blitzing it. That situation had come, and having spent most of Saturday playing with paper, paint and glue, I couldn’t ignore it any longer.
It is surprisingly therapeutic and inspirational to make this space tidy again.
Frodo: “No idea mum, what are you talking about?”
Me: “That bucket of wrapping paper that you just tipped over, what was that in aid of?”
Frodo: “Nope, nothing to do with me mum.”
Me: “What, the bucket of paper tipped over that you happen to be lying next to is nothing to do with you?”
Frodo: “Not me mum, honest. Maybe you should ask Snowflake, it’s the kind of thing she would do.”
