Pom Pom Chandalier!

A few weeks ago I ordered some Pom Pom makers on eBay, and when they arrived I suddenly had a new obsession!

These things are as much fun to make as tassels and are equally addictive!
Nefertiti seems to agree!

So I needed a project that would use Pom poms, and maybe some tassels too, I have quite a stash!

I’ve been wanting to make a decorative Chandalier type mobile for a while, but I’ve been trying to decide what to make it from. And so here was the answer.

I had this basic structure from an old light shade, but the middle ring was covered in glue and bits of fabric from the old shade. It would have been a huge job to clean it off, so I decided to wrap it in stripy wool.

Next up was to make the top strings to hang it from. Time to dig into my huge stash of beads and select a few to string with the Pom poms.

A bit of fishing line, and fifteen minutes later, I had three strings of beads with a Pom Pom on each end.

Next I needed six strings of beads and Pom poms to hang from the base.

I started at the bottom with the tassel, then threaded Pom poms in decreasing sizes on top, then some beads.

Tadaa!!!! Loving it!

Now, what else can I make with these little fluffers?
