Butterfly Cloche

I am loving antique botanicals and entomological collections at the moment.

I came across some cute butterfly fridge magnets in a discount shop, and had an idea to display them under a glass cloche.

I was given a tiny glass cloche as a housewarming gift last year, so all I needed was some twigs and a hot glue gun!

I didn’t want to glue directly to the base of the cloche, so I got some magnet-backed paper and painted it to resemble rusty metal.

I cut the circle and sat it on the cloche base.

Then I glued the butterflies to the twigs.

Then I made little piles of hot glue on the painted base and stuck in the twigs!
