Tartan Cushion Covers

I am a serial hoarder. It’s a worry, because I don’t want to end up one of those crazy cat ladies who have to walk through towering stacks of old newspapers to reach the kitchen, but I do hate throwing things away.

And sometimes I’m glad I hang on to stuff, such as these two seen-better-days white cushion covers.

With the checked pattern on these my mind immediately went “tartan”!!!!!! So, I purchased some fabric crayons (I was going for felt tip pens, but these were just $7 a box, and I’m ever the bargain hunter!) and I got to work!

I’m really happy with how these turned out. I saved two ancient old cushion covers from their rubbish dump destiny, and added to the ever-rotating collection of cushions in my house.
