For ages I struggled to find a chair to use as a desk chair in my studio . I hate ugly office chars but nothing else was comfortable enough to sit in all day.
Eventually I relented and picked up this very boring (but surprisingly comfy) office chair at the op shop for a measly $7.
For months I have wondered what to do to Aixie-fy it and reduce the ugly.
Eventually I decided on my old standby of decoupage.
I bought this paisley duna cover also in the op shop purely because I loved the paisley fabric. It was a single, so no use except for the fabric itself, which I thought might decoupage nicely over the chair.
A pair of scissors, Mod Podge and a brush, and I got to work.
As the Mod Podge dried it made the fabric look a lot darker than before, but that’s probably a good thing, it will hopefully not show the odd paint drip or pen mark when I get messy!
It will do for now!
I love how you just go for it. You make me want to start decoupaging everything around me. 🙂
Hee hee! Yes I am never afraid to have a go at making something more interesting or more beautiful! Decoupage is possibly addictive, I don’t know, but I know it’s an awesome way of Aixie-fying just about anything!
Unique, one of a kind….it just makes me happy…..you should give it a go!!!! 😁
another amazing transformation! The world is certainly better for a bit of Aixie-fication! 😀
Thank you sweetheart!!☺️☺️☺️
